Why is college so freaking expensive?

Literally all the ones I’m interested in are at least 50 grand a year.

plus, why am I thinking of majoring in humanities? I’m gonna be broke my whole life

And yeah I know money’s not everything but I need to make bank so I can let my parents live in luxury while they’re still here

and medical job will take 8-12 years of schooling. Plus it’s ridiculously expensive. Same with dentistry schools..
